Worlds Top Yachts - Blue Moon

The oceans seem to be flooded by the massive egos of boat owners. A battle for supremacy is taking place in the form of a yachting contest. Who owns the biggest, the best, and the most lavish?
These are all questions the rest of us now want to know. Among the top contenders is the Blue Moon, built by Feadship for owner Richard Duchossois, now in his late 80s. This 198-foot yacht is about as luxurious as a yacht can possibly get. It is Duchossois' third attempt at his supreme boat, and thus far, he seems to be happy with the results. The third Blue Moon is a triumphant masterpiece in the world of yachtbuilding.
Blue Moon has two skylights in the roof of the observation lounge that add an elegant glow to the ship at night. The forward, half-crescent panel lights up the observation lounge completely, and the second round skylight shines down on the elevator shaft. On the top deck, a large Jacuzzi pool sits surrounded by lounge furniture.
Next to the pool, a raised sunning area was built for anyone seeking the perfect tan. Forward off the bridge, a Portuguese settee is protected by a deck housing that contains an inflatable RIB and crane. There are staircases on the bridge decks, on the starboard and port sides of the ship, granting access to the decks below. On the vast sun deck, a large dining table sits in the open air, making for a very inviting eating atmosphere.
The Judi Patio on the bridge deck can be fully opened or closed by using its sliding glass doors. The patio is perfect for large parties or small get-togethers. The large saloon area resembles a library, and offers privacy from the more social areas of the ship. The control room is absolutely stunning, with leather furniture and completely digital controls.
The area is completely trimmed in beautiful wood and looks more like a log cabin than a captain's cabin. When you walk down the staircase, you're met by the tubular glass elevator shaft that takes you through all four levels of the ship. The full-beam owner's area has a master stateroom, as well as a private gym and office, each with its own bathroom. The master bath is luxurious and expansive, with a Jacuzzi tub, and a beautiful shower.
This mega-yacht is an amazing site to behold. The quality put into its construction is only outmatched by the finished product. Horseracing mogul and owner Duchossois can be proud of his yacht. The 198-foot Blue Moon is consistently ranked on the World's 100 Largest Yachts list.
The most spectacular fact about this Blue Moon is it's not the biggest yacht in the world. To look at it in all of its glory, the Blue Moon appears to cover more ocean than your eyes can take in. Blue Moon is a true statement of ultimate luxury, and will always be one of the world's most impressive motoryachts.
