One of the best yachts to sail the seas is the Christensen series. Their Custom 157 is turning heads for many reasons, none of which include an affordable price. Christensen's 157 is sheer yacht perfection, and exclusively available to only the mega-rich. Christensen uses traditional design concepts and follows a specific course to ensure a finished product that is retro-modern and ultra luxurious in style and elegance.

Using an ingenious standard of engineering, these yachts are built for luxury and last a lifetime. Customers are able to have their yachts built to custom specifications, and the 157 (named for its 157-foot length) is no exception.

The yacht is essential built on a huge assembly line, on which the hull molds are compressed to form the body of the ship. During this process, buyers are able to make any specific requests or changes. The hulls are double-cored cell fiberglass, approximately 2-1/2 inches thick, and the superstructure is comprised of divinycell-core. This results in a supremely strong composite yacht that is a lighter weight than traditional yachts.

These custom yachts can travel at 17 knots and have a nautical range of 4300 miles. Many people may recognize the Christensen series from television, where they are often featured on shows such as VH1's “The Fabulous Life Of:” Tiger Woods also owns a Christensen custom, and has brought much fame and recognition to the brand.

This yacht is the absolute ultimate in lavish luxury for anyone who likes their comfort in excess. The multi-deck yacht consists of a beautiful, spacious deck, a luxury upper level cabin, an under deck for entertainment purposes, and the lower deck which contains staterooms.

On the upper deck, an 8-seater couch adds style and appeal to a large bar area which seats an additional 6. On the flybridge, a commercial-grade outdoor grill makes for wonderful grilling entertainment. At night, the high-gloss fiberglass acts as a mirror when the lights are on, illuminating the surrounding area and adding an extra bit of ambiance for all aboard.

One of the 157's best features is its onboard swimming pool. The pool is surrounded by 180 degrees of cushioned seating, and is beautifully constructed. On the aft-deck, a saloon awaits to service the passengers. And plush seating and big screen TVs round out the experience. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and is surrounded by walnut cabinets, dressers, and vanities.

A 63-inch plasma TV provides ample entertainment, and the marbled bathroom, Jacuzzi included, offers luxuries above and beyond the norm. Additional rooms aboard the yacht also feature similar luxuries.

For the steep price tag of $20-million (starting), you can set out on a Christensen Custom 157. Obviously, this megayacht is solely for the well-to-do. With its colossal presence at sea, the 157 is an overstatement of luxury in excess.
