The 500-acre Turtle Island is a private island resort which is part of the Yasawa group in the Republic of Fiji. This island is the perfect getaway for honeymooners, families, and anyone else who wants a great, secluded vacation in paradise. If you've ever wanted to experience a private island resort, Turtle Island is the perfect luxury beach vacation.
Fiji sits in the South Pacific Ocean east of Vanuatu, and provides some of the greatest scenery on earth. The water blends in with the sky in perfect blue harmony. Even some of the local fish share the same breathtaking color, making Fiji one of most popular diving/snorkeling destinations in the Pacific, and Turtle Island is Fiji's pride and joy.
Vacationers can be as relaxed or as active as they wish on Turtle Island. If you prefer the latter approach, then the area's open for scuba diving, horseback riding, deep-sea fishing, hiking, kayaking, and you can even grab a nice, quiet picnic on the beach. And, of course, you can lounge out on a hammock and enjoy the beautiful breeze blowing over you.
Turtle Island Resort offers guests an all-inclusive plan, meaning that all activities are included in the room rate. Upon arriving at Turtle Island, every couple/family/party on the island will be assigned a bure manager, who acts as your personal tour guide and vacation planner.
“Bure” is what the rooms on Turtle Island are named, and there are fourteen of them, all airy and spacious and decorated with handcrafted, specialty furniture. The bures are also designed to be far enough way from one another so you always feel as though you're visiting your own private island.
The sitting rooms in the bures have a refrigerator and a bar that is always fully stocked. The Grand bures have king-size four-poster beds, an outdoor shower, a Jacuzzi, and even a verandah with a queen-size day bed. You'll never feel all alone on the island if you have any business to take care of. Each bure has state-of-the-art amenities including access to the web.
If you're worried about where to eat on Turtle Island, the options are varied. You can grab an informal-style meal at the resort and eat with guests at a communal table. This option is a favorite of guests.
Guests can also choose to have a champagne breakfast on the beach, a gourmet picnic, or even a dine-out where guests can choose to dine in unique locations such as a mountaintop, the end of the dock, or in the middle of a lagoon. Turtle Island boasts one of the most complete wine lists in the South Pacific. Guests at the resort can choose from a selection of over 3,000 bottles from 44 different wineries.
To purchase a Turtle Island Resort all-inclusive package, it will set you back $1,632 per night, per couple. It may seem a bit pricy, but Turtle Island offers up the type of luxury that you can't easily put a price tag on.
