Worlds Top Private Jets - Bombardier Global Express XRS

Bombardier Aerospace introduces their Global Express XRS, a long-range business jet that was released as an improved version of the original jet. This new jet offers higher cruising speeds, improved cabin layout, greater range, and much better lighting. The letters “XRS” are said to have no real significance.
They were selected by focus groups who hoped to revitalize the overall brand of Global Express. The GE first arrived on the scene in 1999. From the first flight, it was clear that this jet offered something different from competitors. Not only is the Global Express used as a private business jet, they're also used by the UK Ministry of Defence.
The XRS adds extra fuel for an ultra long-range flight. It can travel 6,150 nautical miles at .85 Mach without having to refuel. This aircraft also has a new design called “zero flaps” take-off ability, which allows the jet access to more airports.
The jet first entered service in 2006, and since then, the price has climbed to around $45-million. With improved computer systems onboard the XRS, it takes approximately 15 minutes less to completely refuel the jet, even though the tank holds 1,486 extra pounds of fuel.
The XRS has two Rolls-Royce Deutschland BR710A2-20 turbofan engines, each of which delivers approximately 15,000 pounds of thrust during take-off. The rear-mounted engines are ultra-powerful and have an impeccable service record. The two petal thrust reversers were developed by International Nacelle Systems.
The XRS also has both pressure and gravity refueling options. The electrical systems are provided by Lucas Aerospace, and the Honeywell Aerospace auxiliary power unit is one of the most dependable in the game.
Like any luxury private jet, the comfortable quarters contained within the cabin is what really sells. The XRS is designed to seat 19 passengers comfortably. The forward cabin is configured with four wide executive seats, each equipped with reclining features and a footrest, electric inflatable lumbers, and swivel capability.
The mid-cabin has a four-passenger conference group section with a table and two sets of double reclining seats. The aft cabin features a three-place 16G divan with end cabinets and two executive seats. The cabin's entertainment systems include a big screen HD TV, 10 individual monitors, 4 DVD players, and a stereo system. You can also connect to the internet and phone lines via the cabin. Two spacious bathrooms round out the inner workings of this business jet.
With the Global Express XRS, you're getting ample travel time that you really can't put a price tag on. Without having to stop in London to fuel up for a trip from Ireland to France, your time is greatly reduced. The long range and high speed XRS is a favorite of business moguls around the world.
