World's Most Luxurious Yachts - Numarine 78HT

Numarine has long been in the yachting game, building some impressive motoryachts that have caught the attentions of boat shows including Monaco last year plus top publications around the world. The company released their 78 model not long ago, available in both a hardtop (HT), and a FLY (Flybridge) model. For their HT model, Numarine really pushed the envelope.
While most yachts are certainly designed with style in mind, most stay within the accepted norms and feature light solid colors, sleek hull designs and boast an overall elegant look. Numarine’s 78 HT blew these preconceived notions out of the water with their brazing yacht design.
Paying homage to the water reptiles that have roamed the waters since long before mankind ever came along, Numarine’s HT is a colorfully designed yacht with a hull more in the shape of an alligator or lizard than any other yacht on the market. The colors also pop, with purples and greens included in the design instead of the basic blacks and whites.
Needless to say, Numarine’s yacht is not your typical show-off piece. It’s a high-performance yacht designed to turn heads and tread water. Its aggressive demeanor puts it in a niche market, as most yacht owners want something traditional, but for owners looking to stand out as unique, nothing on the market is as outlandish as the 78 HT.
A lot of planning went into this hardtop model. In order for Numarine to achieve the look they were planning for without sacrificing on space, compromising the hull’s integrity or creating any type of drag, the features had to be creatively integrated into an aerodynamic design that was still spacious and appealing.
This is achieved by the hardtop sitting lower than most and extending further back on the deck. The bathing area is just as large as you will find on any 78-foot yacht, and the cockpit is also an impressive size. However, the top extends nearly to the back of the boat, meaning that the design does keep much of the yacht covered completely.
The high-tech composite materials used in constructing this yacht mean that the overall weight of the boat is lighter than comparable models. There are also many more intricacies in the design that bring the functionality of the yacht to life. Tommaso Spadolini and Can Yalman worked on the design together and tried to create something both fun and functional.
The yacht ends up with even more open space as a result of the work, and along with the generous sunning areas on the fore deck and the large aft, the yacht’s cabins are also large and the saloon acts as the perfect party room for entertaining large crowds.
Numarine’s 78 HT may be too aggressive and too risky for some, but it’s more of a yacht to have fun in rather than a yacht to show off. This makes it a welcome addition for anyone looking for a 78-foot cruiser.
