Renowned for its unsurpassed hospitality and 18th century Venetian-style opulence, the Abano Ritz Hotel Terme is easily one of the finest hotels in Italy. In the heart of Abano Terme, just over an hour’s flight from Rome, this member of the large Ritz group is constantly rated as one of the area’s premier destinations.
With plenty of activities in the immediate vicinity and more than a few great features within, the Abano Ritz scores big points. This elegant establishment has a wide range of features.
The spa strives to provide world-class service to every guest. With thermal pools, personal trainers for fitness programs, state-of-the-art equipment and a huge list of available beauty treatments, the Abano Ritz’s spa is one of the hotel’s primary features.
The spa isn’t the only inviting feature, however. Abano Ritz is a five-star establishment, and to that end, everything in or around the structure is designed to be upscale and to provide a luxurious experience. This includes the Abano Ritz’s dual semi-Olympic heated pools and its hydro-massage pool.
Activities around the Abano Ritz are more numerous than some resorts over ten times the hotel’s size. The Ritz here is located in a very active area. There are a few high-end golf clubs nearby, some of which will allow you to play for free as a guest of the hotel. The hotel can also arrange horseback riding, cycling or hiking trips.
Visitors will most likely never run out of things to do on the outside of the hotel, but the inside certainly isn’t lacking either. With 140 luxury rooms in the Abano Ritz, it’s one of the larger hotels around. Each room in the Ritz is spacious, bright and reminiscent of old-world Italy. However, each room still features modern living options like wide-screen TVs and Wi-Fi access.
There are six different types of rooms at the Ritz: Junior Suite, Suite, Single Room, Double/Twin Room, Design Room and Design Suite. The Design rooms do happen to break away from the traditional look and feel of the other rooms. These rooms are a little more on the modern side, with clean lines, bright colors and large open terraces.
Of course, no one’s going to Italy without trying out the food. Even Italians are crazy about Italian food, and they have a passion for cooking that’s only rivaled by the French. The Abano Ritz has a large breakfast buffet available to all guests from 7 to 11am. For formal meals, the White Gloves Service Restaurant provides elegant dining with a seasonal menu.
When the weather’s nice in Italy, the Abano Ritz has outdoor barbeques in the large park on the property. This option is always a favorite with the guests, and during the grilling season, the BBQ is always busy. And being in Italy, you’ll of course find a large selection of fine wines at the Ritz.
