Wild things at the Springs Preserve

Each year during the months of April, May and June, a little bit of the Roos-N-More zoo arrives every weekend at the Springs Preserve to entertain visitors who flock here to meet rare and beautiful creatures that they have only ever seen on TV or in photos.
These welcomed weekend guests at the Springs Preserve are otters, lemurs, boa constrictors to name but a few of the many unusual and sometimes endangered animals from around the world that are bought to the Springs for visitors to see and meet them up close, interact with them and get to know something about the little critters that inhabit our planet.
Shows are held twice daily and visitors can learn all there is know about the animals they meet by listening to great tutorials from members of the zoo staff. Just by watching the animals visitors can get to know their personalities as they watch them fool around.
Everyone gets a chance of holding and really interacting with some of the animals in a well supervised backstage environment that takes place after each show. It costs a little more money to do this, but the experience is well worth the extra cost. These tickets are sold on a ‘first come – first serve’ basis.
The shows take place in the Springs Amphitheatre, members get in free and a backstage pass is $10 a person and you don’t have to make a reservation to see the shows. There are so many great creatures to see from colorful birds (the toucan) to a baby kangaroo.
The zoo brings along some of the endangered species like the Asian bearcat, (Bornean Binturong) so it is a real privilege to actually see one of these animals in the flesh and people visiting the Springs for the ‘Wild Things’ shows will certainly get a clearer understanding of how the climate change, amongst other contributing factors, has affected our precious wildlife all over the globe.
With fun animals on show such as the America Coatis, which is a close relative of the raccoon, visitors who buy a backstage pass can really benefit from experiencing just how much fun it is watching and playing with creatures who will give as good as they get when it comes to fooling around.
It is not just kids who enjoy these great weekends at the Springs watching, playing and learning about so many animals, adults have as much fun too and everyone gets to learn a lot about each species that they meet. The Zoo at Moapa brings six animals each weekend to the Springs and have organized it so that every weekend there are six different species for visitors to meet, see and learn about.
A great fun day can be had at the ‘Wild Things’ show at the Springs, add to this that visitors can learn a few fascinating facts about some of the animals they may not be familiar with and who could ask for a nicer way to spend an unusual day in Las Vegas.
