Tournament of Kings at Excalibur

Most people in the world have a keen interest with the past, especially medieval times. Any series or movie dealing with kings and knights is sure to be a hit with its particular niche, and various festivals and fairs take place all over the globe, celebrating the bygone era. Though, perhaps no festival is as popular as Las Vegas Tournament of Kings.
The Tournament of Kings show has been taking place for years in Las Vegas. It has been featured in many movies and TV shows, including Ozzy's hit reality show. You can find the show happening two times every night at King Arthurs Arena in Excalibur on Las Vegas Boulevard. Its also rather affordable, costing around 60 bucks per ticket.
Tournament of Kings is definitely sin city's most popular interactive show. The premise is as simple as it can possibly be, while ironically being wholly elaborate. As a guest, you're seated in one of eight sections, representing a country, and you become a patron of that country's king (or the evil knight) and an onlooker as he fights.
They literally went medieval for this show. Even though they serve you some delicious food, with a game hen, a twice-baked potato, tomato soup and other tasty treats, you get no utensils. You'll be eating with your hands and stomping your feet along with the action while there; and if that's not your cup of tea, you should skip this show.
Once you're seated and the food comes out, you're introduced to the seven separate kings and the one dragon knight the evil player who will try to overthrow all kings and retain the crown. You can cheer as loud as you want, but be careful about booing too loudly when another country is being represented. The guy in a weird hat will shush you up!
Like any interactive show, audience participation is a must. It's your job, as a member of the country, of course, to cheer your kings and knights. You will see various displays of physical strength, agility, and more as the men partake in jousting matches and other fighting scenarios.
This all takes place after the kings all feast along with you. Well, almost; they get the privilege of eating with King Arthur. After all, you're but a simple peasant not royalty. But you'll certainly feel like you're getting the royal treatment once the horse races, sword fights, gladiator battles and other medieval feats begin.
The idea here, even though they're fighting one another, is more like a joyous celebration than actual war. The real fight begins once the fire wizard rears his ugly head and tries to capture Arthur's kingdom. In the midst, one king is killed and the others take up arms and fight to avenge his demise.
So, who wins and who gets to wear the crown? Ah, you have to see for yourself. The basic idea, though, is to have a fun time in the most informal climate imaginable. You get to eat with your hands, beat on the tables and see some pretty cool fight scenes in medieval gear. All in all, it's an experience well worth having.
