Top Vegas Shows - Steve Wyrick's Real Magic

There are really countless types of “magic” show out there. It all depends on what you're after. Luckily, Las Vegas seems to have at least two of each, so even the pickiest person can show up and have a great time.
You can find the traditional magic shows, with no bells and whistles. You can find the larger-scale shows, featuring an assortment of dancers and singers and sexy assistants to entice your entertainment sensibilities. Or, if you're in the mood for grandiose, you can find a show like Steve Wyrick's Real Magic. This show is huge, featuring giant illusions, Broadway-like sets, and plenty of lighting effects, women and loud music to keep your adrenaline flowing throughout.
Truthfully, there's a lot to be said just about the size of the show here. Take David Copperfield for example. In his most famous illusion, the masterful magician made the entire Statue of Liberty disappear. Of course, in actuality, he only had his volunteers sit on a rotating platform, and after the curtain rose, he spun them around to a blank view of the harbor, the Statue still in place at their backs.
But it wasn't the “trick” that people were concerned with. It was the grand scale of it all; the huge display of magic. This is what Steve Wyrick brings with his magic show - minus the sheer scale of world wonders, of course.
However, Wyrick's show does bring the “big enough,” featuring planes, helicopters, motorcycles, and a giant water tank. And this is just getting started. Despite it all, Steve is able to connect with the audience on a personal level, never losing the crowd's enthusiasm throughout the many illusions and different stage props.
Everyone likes seeing something disappear, and the show isn't reserved for the big, either. Steve walks around the audience and performs smaller-scale illusions, using objects from the audience such as rings and watches.
The theater Wyrick performs in is rather large. To pull off his type of show on the scale it requires, Steve doesn't perform in any basic casino theater or a Strip hotel, instead, he has his own theater, the Steve Wyrick Theater, where the stage is constantly set and the show is ready to go in motion. Wyrick is no stranger to Las Vegas.
In over a decade, Steve has picked up a loyal following. However, he took his magic to the next level with this new theater. It cost an estimated $35m just to build, and thus far, it hasn't been a disappointment.
Wyrick has picked up some praise along the way, especially true with his Real Magic show. Instead of auditioning for various shows in casinos like so many acts in Vegas, Wyrick took matters into his own hands with his theater venture. This do-it-yourself approach has paid off in a big way. Vegas is always ripe with competition, especially in the magic department, but Steve seems to be holding his own with this show.
