The Ultimate 007 Experience

James Bond has been the world’s favorite spy for decades. No matter who plays the character, the movies are always an international success; and no matter how many times people have seen the archetype good guy vs. bad guy story, Bond always manages to pique everyone’s curiosity. If you’ve ever wanted to walk in Bond’s shoes, the Ultimate 007 Experience is currently available.
Most of us are never going to be secret agents. You can bank on that. However, the 007 experience allows guests to witness exactly what it’s like to perform death-defying stunts, like a high-speed chase and even throwing the proverbial cuffs on the bad guy. It’s a thrill-seeking adventure just as much as it is the ideal day out for any Bond fanatic.
There are different James Bond-themed adventures happening all over the globe. Some of them take place on yachts; others take place on makeshift movie sets. The 007 Experience takes place a large racetrack in Wampum, Pennsylvania. It might seem like an odd location, but the experience isn’t about checking out the scenery.
The 007 experience is provided to only one individual at a time. You buy a ticket to take place in the event, and if you want your friends or family to see you in your spy gear, you can bring them along with you as well. It starts at 9am and lasts roughly 9 hours, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the festivities.
The highlight of the day’s events is a high-speed chase - over 100 miles per hour - with 180-degree spins, minor obstacles and even breaking through a mock barricade. The car you’ll be driving certainly has enough power under the hood to get up and go, but it’s also safe and all drivers will be wearing full racing gear to prevent any injuries in case of a crash.
Of course, you’ll have to receive training in order to pull off the 007 driving moves. For this, you’ll be in the hands of some professional drivers at the North Track raceway at BeaveRun. Most of the morning will consist of going over the safety procedures and practicing your moves.
Even good drivers will have to take this course to ensure they’re hitting the moves at all the right places. This isn’t about simply flooring the car and stopping on a dime. You’ll be practicing evasive maneuvers, defense techniques, and other tactical driving sequences. It’s definitely above and beyond your run-of-the-mill driver’s test.
After you’ve got a handle on the various moves, you’ll start the sequence. The staff pulled no punches here. Once you get into the car, the bad guy immediately starts to chase you down. You’re the one avoiding him at the start.
The entire track is set up to look like a Bond movie set. As you’re driving, you’ll have to use your newly acquired evasive maneuvers to avoid getting shot with paintballs. You pull a 180 and then reverse the chase and apprehend the bad guy – if you can catch him.
There’s a lot more that goes along with the 007 Experience, and the entire package costs around $1000 USD.
