The Number One Illusionist of all time is David Copperfield

Before Chris Angel and David Blaine came along with their edited for TV magic, David Copperfield reigned supreme as the top illusionist in the world. This master magician has made the Statue of Liberty disappear - enough said.
He plays 500 shows a year and constantly tries to top himself. David has been playing Las Vegas for years, and his magic show always prevails as one of the top entertainment destinations, not only in Las Vegas, but in all of America.
He is hailed by both fans and critics alike as the greatest illusionist of all time. If you've never seen David Copperfield perform, there's no better time than right now. The man has walked through the Great Wall of China, flown through the air, and even made audience members disappear. He's truly one of a kind.
Of course, he can't recreate every televised trick for the Vegas audience, but he does demonstrate similar and equally impressive illusions by using objects a bit more suitable for a stage setting. For example, Copperfield pays homage to his Great Wall walk-through by using a large sheet of metal and effortlessly walking through it.
The metal sheet is propped up on stage and audience members as asked to come up and hit it with a rubber hammer to prove that it's solid. Copperfield lies underneath the metal sheet and his assistants spin the platform around to show that the only way out is to go through the metal. You can witness Copperfield's finger coming through the other side, and then he pops out.
That is just one of the many breathtaking magic tricks the magician performs, obviously. Copperfield has stiff competition in today's magic market, so he's sure to take his act above and beyond what most would consider ordinary magic. He proves to every member of the audience that he is the one true master.
As a play on the halved woman, Copperfield places himself in a box, and then begins to mysteriously shrink in size. Right in front of your eyes, you'll be able to see Copperfield, who stands over 6-feet, shrink to mere inches. With his usual comic appeal in every trick, the audience is left hunched over in laughter as well as awestruck.
The audience interaction is a big part of the show, and Copperfield always selects a random audience member to assist him with his trick. One of his favorites is the dancing tissue trick. He'll stand alongside a few audience members, show them a piece of tissue paper, and then roll it in a ball and make it levitate the length of his arm.
He's doing this right in front of you, so there are really no strings attached. And unlike many other magic shows in Las Vegas, David Copperfield doesn't use any flashy, half-dressed showgirls to assist him in any way. His magic show is very personable - just him and the magic - and that's enough to amaze everyone. Get out to Las Vegas and witness the best hour and a half of magic in the world.
