The Independent Betting Adjudication Service resolves gambling disputes in UKIBAS stands for the Independent Betting Adjudication Service. The service lends its credible and reputable practice to act as an impartial adjudicator on various disputes that often arise between online gaming operators and their respective customers. In other words, IBAS is like a third-party support team, able to come in, privately view the matter, and implement a course of action to either party involved.

In today's wild world of online gaming, with thousands of sites and millions of customers, IBAS' services are greatly appreciated. They can save time, money, and they always seem to reach a satisfactory conclusion when presented with the proper evidence.

Gambling, by its very nature involving money, involves emotions. Sometimes people get carried away, and when multiplied by millions, the odds of having a conflict in the online gaming world greatly increase. Every minute of every day, some player is having a dispute with some gambling website.

In the UK alone, the gambling industry rakes in over 50 billion in revenue. It's not at all uncommon for various players and-or operators to cry wolf in an attempt to swindle some of the fortune. This is where IBAS steps in and handles the problem.

IBAS is a non-statutory organization that was created in 1998 and went into full swing in 2007. Before IBAS came along, players who felt they were unfairly treated had very limited options. Because of this, IBAS was given legal endorsement to adjudicate by the Gambling Commission of the UK.

If a problem arises between an operator and a customer, it must be resolved before becoming a “dispute.” Once both parties are unable to handle this dispute, it's put into the hands of IBAS, where a thorough investigation takes place.

However, not every problem is the business of IBAS. There are certain requirements that a problem must contain in order to be considered a legitimate dispute. For starters, the dispute has to have been fully examined by the respective gambling operator but no satisfactory conclusion has been met. Secondly, both parties - the operator and customer - must fully agree to IBAS' terms and conditions. After this, the investigation begins.

The process of which IBAS is able to handle disputes is rather quick. There is no bureaucratic nonsense to contend with since IBAS is independent, and there are no fees of any kind that might deter an applicant from reporting a dispute. All parties filing a complaint form are solely responsible for the content within the form. If fraudulent charges are made, the dispute is instantly dropped.

IBAS guarantees that it doesn't act as a jury; i.e. the party stating the better case in writing is not the party that will necessary “win” the dispute. Although writing skills are important, the facts of the case are ultimately what tell the tale and decide the outcome.

IBAS enters the dispute objectively and remains so. Whether it's for 2 or 200,000 dollars, operators and customers are viewed equally and are both subject to investigation. IBAS is also confidential, so anyone wishing to file a dispute claim on their site need not worry about the information leaking out.
