The Spa at the Oriental Mandarin Hotel in London is a real retreat that allows you to get away from it all. It really can make all the difference to your trip whether you’re in London on business, to visit family or a romantic weekend away for two.
It is a place to rest, and reconnect your mind, body and soul and you succumb to the pleasures of the wondrous therapies available. All eight of the treatment rooms are decorated in a serene way to instantly put you at ease and allow you to leave your worries at the door.
There is an amethyst crystal steam room, where you can sit and allow the warm moisture to open up the pores in your skin in preparation for the treatments. The sanarium offers four spa treatments in one with warm air and humidity.
Zen colour therapy is known as an effective form of spiritual healing, restoring balance in the body and promoting a calm mental state. At the spa there is a Zen colour therapy relaxation area where you can feel the benefits of this wonderful treatment.
The Oriental harmony massage lets you relax as the healing hands of two therapists work simultaneously to iron out muscular tension and promote better circulation of the vascular system. Stimulated circulation means that your heart will stay healthier for longer.
One of the treatments that cannot be missed is the wonderful Shiatsu inspired ginger ritual, where the finger pressure technique stimulated the flow of energy in the body and rebalances followed by a deep massage using aromatic essential oils.
For a more holistic approach you can opt for the traditional Chinese medicine consultant where you can learn about how your lifestyle is affecting your health, with advice on how to let more positive energy into your life through constructive changes.
Hot stone therapy taps into the body’s chakras, by massaging the body using essential oils and hot stones to re-energise the body and unblock the chakras to heal the body and mind. The treatment is finished off with an acupressure head massage to sooth the mind and remove tension.
For mothers to be or women who have recently had a child, the new life treatment is a wonderful total body experience which is designed to relax and tone the skin. It uses Calendula infused oils and a range of muds and creams. A variety of facials are also available to rejuvenate the facial skin.
There is also a vitality pool where you can cool off after a sauna or sanarium session, and a gymnasium for the more active to enjoy a heart pumping workout. The spa boutique offers a range of exclusive spa products allowing you to continue your spa experience at home.
Of course after all of this pampering, you can head off for a stay in the Mandarin Oriental hotel, where the rooms are elegantly decorated. Or head down to one of the restaurants to enjoy fine cuisine from around the world. The perfect end to a perfect day.
