Jimbaran Bay in Bali, Indonesia is a tropical oasis of calm and serenity, and is home to The Spa of Four Seasons hotel where you can relax, unwind and let the stresses and strains of normal daily life float away like one of the tiny fluffy clouds in the beautiful cobalt sky.
The spa houses eight luxurious treatment rooms, all decorated with tranquillity and calm in mind to help you feel instantly at ease. This truly is a once in a lifetime experience that will leave you feeling refreshed and ready for anything.
There is an extensive range of massages, including the Balinese massage which incorporates traditional Indonesian knowledge and uses herbal coconut oil with spices and herbs as the therapist sweeps the muscles to iron out tension and stress.
The Orient massage is based on the Asian techniques, and massages the energy pressure points of the body to restore balance and energise the body. The massage is performed without the use of oil, true to the traditions of the pressure massage.
For those looking for a spiritual experience, the Craniosacral therapy is similar to Reiki, and consists of light touches by a therapist the channel energy and unblock important energy points in the body. This promotes a healthy mind and soul and removes negative emotion.
All of these treatments can be enjoyed in one of the treatment rooms, in the privacy of your own spa suite or outdoors where you will be surrounded by the lush vegetation and views of the beautiful Indian Ocean.
There are three spa suites, all of which have double massage tables so that you can enjoy a couples massage in private, as well as Swiss showers. All of these suites open out into a garden area where a large soaking tub can be found and a cool water shower.
If you’re looking for that bit extra, you can visit the beauty salon where you can indulge in a deeply nourishing hair treatment, or even get a haircut to give yourself a new look and restore your confidence. Manicures and pedicures are also available from the salon for the finishing touches.
Ayurvedic medicine is an ancient Indian holistic healing system and is over 5,000 years old. This healing system is the inspiration for some of the treatments including the Usada Jambaran which involves a full body massage, a cleansing scrub and a herbal flower bath.
The facilities also offer a stunning infinity pool that seems as though it is flowing right into the sea. The water from here cascades into the soaking pool, and there are whirlpools dotted around with both hot and cool water where you can sit back and enjoy the therapeutic feeling of the water.
After a day in the spa, you can enjoy a wonderful healthy meal to compliment your treatments including traditional Balinese and Indonesian food as well as Italian. Private dining is also available in the rooms where guests can have a romantic meal for two on their own terrace.
