Private Islands For Rent - Round Island, Seychelles

The archipelago nation of Seychelles is made up of over 100 islands of all shapes and sizes. Located to the east of Africa’s mainland in the Indian Ocean, Seychelles is the home to some of the world’s most spectacular private resorts, including the famed private island for rent, Round Island.
Round Island isn’t so originally named, but it is certainly a creative work of lavish art. There’s a bit of an unflattering past with Round Island. Until 1942, it was where nearby populations used to quarantine their female lepers when leprosy was still a scary, confusing and incurable affliction. Since then, the island has been repeatedly made over and transformed into what stands today.
Like many similar islands around the globe, Round Island is a luxurious private resort that lures in the rich and famous travelers with the promise of unique scenery, a tropical climate, lush amenities, and all the seclusion they could ever hope for.
The various buildings on Round Island were specifically designed to blend in masterfully with the surrounding area and also to pay homage to this branch of African-Creole ancestry. There are three luxury villas on the island, as well as a large private house, a spa center and other various smaller buildings for use by the staff.
Round Island acts as a five star resort in every shape, form and fashion. The staff is available to wait on all guests 24 hours a day and guests can choose to enjoy a cocktail or to eat the finest Creole cuisine served A la Carte, at the buffet-style restaurant, or at the island’s pool bar.
The three private villas and house on the island are designed with comfort in mind. The outside of the structures gives an appearance of old-world African architecture from a hundred years ago, but the inside of the buildings is about as contemporary as you can get in terms of amenities, while still not conflicting with the traditional feel.
Each villa is fully air conditioned and features a large bathroom, a queen-sized bed, a balcony area and spectacular views of the beaches and surrounding ocean. Villas are constructed more like posh hotel rooms on Round Island, whereas the private house is the epicenter of the island.
The private house has a large entertainment area, flat screen TVs, hi-speed Internet access, a large master bedroom with queen-sized bed and an attached bathroom with a stand-up shower and Jacuzzi tub. There are also two separate bedrooms with twin-beds, and one with a large bathroom. There’s also a full gym in the private house.
Round Island isn’t very large, but the features are packed in. The pool provides a perfect private setting, and the decks of the house and villas provide priceless views of the ocean. You’ll also find many white sand beaches on the island, as well as a lot of natural sea life like starfish and crab.
