With the fast-paced world we live in today, where instant gratification is a must, the private affairs of millionaires are displayed on TV and in magazines on a daily basis. That’s why it’s so surprising that a wealthy Turkish family was able to build a colossal motoryacht totally under the radar. The yacht Dream On made its first appearance in 2008.

Dream On isn’t your typical, run-of-the-mill luxury yacht. This behemoth is literally decked out with what can only be described as a mansion-esque interior. The cabins and other entertainment spaces aboard Dream On are far above and beyond what you’ll find on similar yachts. This cruising ship is built more like a vacation home than a sea vessel.

Although built by Turkish aristocrats, Dream On was constructed on location near Tulsa, with shipbuilder Ursa Tersanesi of Switzerland handling the construction duties. Because the family wanted the yacht to be so spacious while still only 125 feet in length, Dream On presented quite a few design challenges.

One of the biggest challenges would be the weight of the yacht. Because of the multiple cabins, decks, dining and entertainment areas, bars, and other living/entertainment features aboard Dream On, the displacement for the length was an obstacle.

To get around this, Ursa Tersanesi employed regular building materials for the exterior, like a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, but went with state-of-the-art composite materials wherever necessary in the interior of the ship to deal with the weight issues. The end result is one of the most impressive projects ever put forth by the Swiss builders.

The exterior of the ship still has a sophisticated and stylish air, rising three decks above the surface and looking stout and impressive for its length. The interior of the vessel, designed by Bannenberg and Rowell, truly has to be seen to be admired.

The main deck has a classic feel with modern materials and design, showcasing an Ottoman ceramic motif and bronze paneling. The main salon of Dream On features a pair of red African chairs and a William Yeoward chandelier, as well as classy bench seating and a custom table. The dining room also doubles as an entertainment area for parties.

Up to 8 guests can travel aboard Dream On comfortably in 4 large cabins. The master cabin is huge, featuring a raised queen-sized bed, en suite bathroom with (faux) marble and granite accents, and also an entertainment system. The other cabins are also large and each guest cabin has a bathroom and other amenities. The crew cabins are smaller but still manage to keep the theme.

Dream On’s Skylounge is like a movie theater-slash-bar, featuring twin coffee tables, plush seating, a state-of-the-art sound system, and much more. Other features aboard the ship include a Jacuzzi, sundeck, grilling area, large kitchen, and more. For all of this, Dream On comes in at a staggering €13,995,000.
