Luxury Yacht Sales Review Desamis-B by Builders Benetti

Benetti yacht builders out of Italy has been producing top-quality, high-end luxury yachts since 1873. As one of the most storied shipbuilders in the world, Benetti not only builds impressive vessels but also works on the architectural process and custom rebuilds existing ships. One of their finest vessels is the Desamis B, originally built in 1994.
When Desamis first took to the waters, she was known as Libra Star II. Libra was eventually sold to new owners who named the ship Nawal-J. After she came back to Benetti for a complete refitting in 2005, the vessel was named Desamis B.
A yacht refitting encompasses a lot more than detail work or a few new features aboard the ship. Desamis was completely rebuilt from the ground up, receiving a new exterior, interior, redesigned cabin space, refitted decks, and even the engine was switched out to give the vessel more power.
Terence Disdale, a high-end interior designer, took the reins and completely redesigned the inside of Desamis B. The exterior of the ship was also handled by an equally impressive stylist named Stefano Natucci. The end result is a one-of-a-kind three-deck motoryacht with a sleek and graceful appearance.
At first glance Desamis B appears to be similar to other large yachts on the water, but this vessel is completely original in many ways. Desamis is 131 feet and has a steel hull with an aluminum superstructure. The custom-designed semi-displacement Desamis is fitted with a unique stabilization system which takes the sickness out of the sea by stopping the roll motion.
The end result is a smooth ride, even in rough water, which creates an enjoyable cruising experience for all on board. Another unique feature of this custom build is the bow thruster system. The thruster system makes the vessel a lot more maneuverable at lower speeds, which adds to the luxury cruising experience.
Although Desamis is a cruising yacht that doesn’t reach blinding speeds, the two 2,040 horsepower engines on board are as powerful as anything else on the water. Desamis has a fuel capacity of 11,889 gallons and can reach a top speed - per the current setup - of 17.5 knots. The ideal cruising speed is 15 knots.
Regardless of the engine and body specifications, the only real factors that matter with a luxury yacht are the design features that guests can take advantage of. Desamis B is able to comfortably carry up to 11 guests in 5 cabins, with many entertainment areas throughout the three-deck vessel.
The owner (master) cabin has a queen-sized bed, en suite bathroom and every modern amenity one could desire. There are also two double cabins, both spacious and with bathrooms. The two twin cabins are a bit smaller but also detail oriented, and there’s also one Pullman cabin.
The other features aboard Desamis are too numerous to name. You have a bar and dance area, a dining area, a Jacuzzi and sundeck, an entertainment lounge, and much, much more. Desamis is currently on the market for €7.9 Million.
