Legends in Concert - One of the longest running shows

Legends in Concert is a show that's been running in Vegas for 26 years. Fortunately for the show's producers, it's still wildly popular and showing no signs of slowing down. There are just too many legends to imitate, so the show may never go under. It was started in 1983 and first performed at the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino.
The original creator was John Stuart Productions, but the show is currently owned and produced by On Stage Entertainment. Legends in Concert has shows all across the US, including Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Branson, Missouri; Atlantic City, New Jersey, and more locations.
The show takes the idea of celebrity impersonators to a whole new level. It's truly fantastic. You get to see imitators that look and sound exactly like the stars they're supposed to be, and to top it off, the stage production is absolutely stellar. Legends in Concert is hands-down the best impersonation show going in Vegas today.
The show takes place at Harrah's. Harrah's is one of the last surviving casinos from the not-so-old days of Vegas. Harrah's purchased the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino, and with it purchased Legends in Concert.
Not only do you get to see superstars from the past, but also the present. The acts are all backed up by a live orchestra and dancers, and if you're lucky, you'll get to see some of today's celebrity impersonations instead of just Elvis and Wayne Newton. You will be able to see impersonations of Diana Ross, Tom Jones, Cher, Janet Jackson, and many, many more of the world's most noted celebrity singers.
When you got to Harrah's to watch the show, it's truly hard to tell who you'll see perform. The show lasts around 2 hours, and during that time, the celebrity fakes are constantly being moved around to keep you on the edge of your seat. Even if you go back every day for a week, you're not likely to see the same show again. They keep it all mixed up, and make sure to switch out some of yesterday's top performers with some of today's. The balance is great.
As far as theatrics go, there are really no big booms happening in Legends in Concerts. You might see some lighting effects and some on-stage dancing by the performer at the time, but if you're looking for fake Ray Charles to be carried away by a steel cable in the middle of his set, don't hold your breath. Most of the entertainment is straightforward. These celebrity impersonators are extremely talented and know how to keep you entertained. And in the huge auditorium, even the most trained fan could have trouble picking out the fake aspects of some of these celebrities.
Legends in Concert isn't very expensive to go check out at all. And you won't have to worry about anything overly adult oriented. There's not much in the way of cursing or nudity. It's basically just a high-end celebrity impressions show.
