Guide to Hotels For the 2011 Masters Tournament

The Masters Tournament is less than a month away, and if you’re planning on going to watch the tour then you’ll more than likely want to find a hotel to stay in during your time in Augusta.
Where you stay will really depend on your budget. As you can imagine the hotels in close proximity to the Augusta National Golf Club will be expensive during the time of the Masters Tournament, so we’ve picked out hotels for every budget so that you can make the best decision for you.
Budget Hotels
If you don’t mind a bit of a drive to the clubhouse, the Western Motel is 11 miles away and costs just $35 per night for a queen room. It’s located on Deans Bridge Road, and although it has a two star rating it is still a great place to stay if you’re on a budget.
A little closer at 9 miles from the golf club is the Motel 6 Grovetown. This is by far the best of the budget hotels at just $40 per night for a king room with a Jacuzzi. The decor is very 70s but again it’s all about the price here, and it’s a fantastic price. The motel also has an outdoor pool, gym and free wi-fi which is perfect for checking out the scores at the Masters when you’re at the motel.
Just 3 miles from the Augusta National Golf Club is the Hampton Inn Augusta Hotel, with prices of $92 per night for a double room with a refrigerator and microwave.
Mid-Range Hotels
If you want a little more luxury but still don’t want to break the bank, the Doubletree Hotel is a great option. It costs around $100 per room per night for a double room, and sits just 5 miles from the Augusta Golf Club so an easy drive in to watch the Masters. It’s also very close to shopping centres. The room rates include free wi-fi, flatscreen TVs and MP3 compatible radios as well as access to the modern gym and indoor pool.
High End Hotels
If you want to make your trip to Augusta more comfortable, the Homewood Suites by Hilton Hotels are a nice option, at $219 per room per night. Each suite has its own kitchen, along with state of the art gyms and breakfast is included in the price. The hotel also offers a grocery shopping service so you can stock your kitchen without having to do it yourself.
For that added luxury we’d recommend the Partridge Inn, part of the Hemmingway chain of hotels. This hotel is beautiful and prices are around $179 per room per night. You can choose from balcony rooms here, which are all romantically lit at night. There is also an antique dining room offering award winning fine cuisine to feed your hunger after a long day at the Masters Tournament, as well as an outdoor pool. It is set on a quiet hill top so you’re guaranteed not to be disturbed.
