Grand Canyon Helicopter and Ranch Adventure
![]()

The Grand Canyon is undoubtedly one of the most breath take natural sights in the world. But it can be hard to really appreciate it in all its glorious wonder from the ground. So why not view the canyon from above, and while you are there, you can satisfy your inner cowboy and enjoy the experience of a real cattle ranch.
Your journey will start from McCarran International Airport where you will board an exclusive jet helicopter. All of the seats on the helicopter will offer you an unrivalled view and your pilot will provide you with a running commentary of the tour through your headphones. Feel free to ask any questions about this memorising natural wonder, your pilot will be happy to assist where they can, as they take you over the Grand Canyon and then descend into it – some 1,500 feet below the rim!
The Grand Canyon itself is around 280 miles long and was carved out by the Colorado River some 17 million years ago. Nearly 2 billion years of the earth's geological history have become exposed due to the formation of the canyon and this lead to the site becoming one of the first National Parks in the United States.
From here you will fly above the marvel of engineering that is the Hoover Dam, which provides electricity across the Arizona and Colorado states. You will observe from the air the wonderful Lake Mead, which at the time of its creation was the largest man made lake in the world at 112 miles long. The aerial view of Boulder City is fascinating. This was a settlement created to house the workers for the Hoover Dam and is now regarded as one of the best places to retire to in the US.
You will then head out to the majestic 'Spirit Mountain' a site along the Old Mormon Trial and location of the only natural spring on the west side of the Grand Canyon Rim. It is here that you will land at the wonderful 165 square feet Grand Canyon Ranch.
Once you disembark from the helicopter, you will be taken on a horse drawn carriage through the Joshua Tree Forest to the Ranch House. This is the setting for an exclusive candlelit three course dinner with traditional 'Wild West' entertainment, before you all take a seat around the campfire and listen the myths and legends of the Western Cowboys.
Should you wish, you can fulfil your Cowboy dreams and ride out into the sunset on a guided horseback ride. If horseback isn't you things, then take a ride on the wagon and enjoy the Buffalo Safari. Or you may wish to just sit and the Ranch House and soak up the atmosphere with some traditional campfire songs and demonstrations of roping and lassoing.
At the end of the evening, you will be taken back to Las Vegas by coach having experienced a taste of how life was in the Territory days. Admittedly it's a not a cheap tour, costs are around $400 per person, but the experience is priceless.
