The fans at the Australian Open will be not only entertained by the nail biting and exciting tennis matches, but they will also be able to enjoy live music from a range of popular Australian artists at the Heineken Live Stage.

The stage will be at the Grand Slam Oval, located between the Rod Laver Arena and the Hisense Arena, where fans will be treated to music and fun in the evenings and afternoons after the matches have taken place. Acts include talents such as Under the Apple Tree, Jason Singh, TimRogers and Operator Please.

There is a beer garden where the fans can enjoy a nice cold beverage while listening to the cool sounds of the Aussie music, as well as several bars and live DJs for later sets. All of this exciting activity will go on throughout the entire two week event.

The Australian Open will run from 17th January until 30th January, and is an event that is long awaited every year by the tennis enthusiasts. It’s a great activity for people from all walks of life and all age groups.

There is something for everyone on the live stage, including electro pop from Miami Horror, chilled out sounds from Clare Bowditch and pop rock from Bluejuice. Lisa Mitchell and Amy Meredith, both top singers in Australia headline the stage on the days of the women’s and men’s finals.

The concerts are available for all of the spectators at the Australian Open, and ground passes are only $29 which includes access to the tennis matches as well as the live music and the bars and games areas.

It’s a really great experience with an atmosphere comparable with that of a music festival. People come from all over the world to watch the Australian Open every year, and it’s easy to see why with so much entertainment all in one place.

The Australian Open has been running since 1880, and is now in its 131st year since it started. Melbourne has been the host city since 1972, mainly because the Melburnians love the tournament so much. 1988 was the year that the park was created in order to house the annual championship, and since then there has been a huge turnout of fans year on year.

This year is set to be a real treat for the spectators too, with the chance of them being there to see history as it happens. Rafael Nadal is currently champion of three Grand Slams, and if he wins he will be only the third player ever to hold all four.

And of course it will be full of excitement as he will be playing some extremely tough players to get there, including the world’s 2nd best player, Roger Federer and the talented Serbian Novak Djokovic. These two weeks are set to be some of the most exhilarating of the entire year not only for the Australians, but for people all around the world who will be watching from their homes too.
