To can purchase much of the local art from the shops in the city where they will be able to tell you the name of the artist, the village they are from and even the cultural background.  Not only to you get a great gift to take home, you also get a story to tell with it.   Getting around anchorage city is no major task with car hire companies available at the airport, reliable train and bus services you will not have to worry getting from place to place.

Visiting anchorage doesn’t have to be all about the culture and wildlife, there are plenty of sports on offer if you have a bigger appetite for adventure.  From white water rafting, glacier climbing, mountaineering and big game fishing you will not be short of adrenaline pumping activities.  There are of course excellent golf courses with the added bonus of scenic tee shots and lush putting greens.
