The MGM Grand hotel is a smart hotel and it boasts one of the best nightclubs in Las Vegas. Studio 54 has left the sound of the 70’s way behind with an upbeat ultra modern club that features state of the art sound that blasts out high energy music with a lighting and video system to match.

It is now one of the hottest night clubs in Vegas with an amazing 22,000 square foot of floor space and with four dance floors, bars and exclusive areas on the upper floor for invited guests only this club really is impressive. There are a few other semi-private lounges to boot that can cater for up to 400 people.

With a dress code that only lets people who are ‘dressed nicely’ into the joint, the club really starts to heat up as the night gets going with infamous parties that will never be forgotten by anyone who is lucky enough to be involved in them.

Review of Boogie Nights hotspot in Atlantic City

Boogie Nights is Atlantic City’s hotspot that everyone loves to go to especially when it comes to getting them back ‘into the groove’ of 70’s and 80’s dance music. The club has everyone boogying and getting down to serious dancing the moment they step through the door. The whole atmosphere of the club is to keep everyone on their toes.

Not knowing what to expect next is part of the thrill of Boogie Nights and they have some very entertaining ideas, including streakers who dart across the dance floor unexpectedly, just to keep their customers laughing and surprised at the antics that go on during the music filled nights. New art district plans to revitalize Atlantic City

Well known for its casinos, hotel, bars and restaurants Atlantic City has plans to upgrade other aspects of the town which includes new residential and commercial developments but more importantly for some people, the plan means that the arts district and educational and medical facilities are going to get a make-over as well.

It goes without saying that the gambling and tourist areas will get a revamp and the project manager of The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, Jeremy Sunkett, announced that the whole concept of this revitalization program is to bring greater numbers of the public to smaller areas with a view to generating a greater demand for services such as restaurants, shops, businesses in general and much more.

The idea is to create districts where the public will be able to walk, instead of driving, to the places that they want or need to get to, thus opening up business opportunities for retailers as well as serving the people who come to Atlantic City more efficiently.

Las Vegas International Tattoo 2011 at University of Nevada

Choosing to hold the Las Vegas International Tattoo 2011 at the University of Nevada is one of the best venue choices that could have been made. Superstars have played to massive audiences at this venue with great success. Names like Elton John, Billy Joel, U2, Van Halen, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner to name but a few have performed at the University over the past 20 years or so and audiences have gone wild at every event.

The Tattoo 2011 took place in the Thomas & Mack Center which is one of the largest indoor arenas found in Las Vegas. It sits proudly in the grounds of the University of Nevada as is named after two very prominent bankers, E Parry Thomas and Jerome Mack. These two bankers originally funded the feasibility and land studies for the arena project. New York City Harbour Lights Night Cruise

New York is one of the most memorising cities in the world.  From Broadway to the Statue of Liberty, almost every street is legendary.  However it’s only the roads and boardwalks that are special, the river and harbour have their own unique stories to tell.

The best way to witness and understand this is to take a night time cruise.  Make your way to Pier 83 and step aboard your vessel.  Here you can sit in comfort and marvel as your host guides you with a full commentary of your journey.

You can sit and watch the sun setting and the moon rising over the Manhattan Skyline.  As darkness descends you can watch the reflection of the city lights as you view the riverside landmarks.  Some of the sights on the tour include the Brooklyn Bridge, the Ellis Island immigration centre and the Statue of Liberty herself.  Some 12 million immigrants passed by Liberty and went through Ellis Island between 1892 and 1954, making it one of the major points of entry for migrants entering America.

Washington DC Day Trip from New York

New York is a great place to visit, however what if you want to go and explore a little bit of the United States, well one option is a day trip to the capital city, Washington DC.  The trip takes place on a fifteen seater, fully air conditioned bus, providing you with comfort and a good view of the scenery.

The Bus will pick you up from Grand Central Station.  Building of the current Station was completed in 1913, although there has been a rail road terminal building on the site since 1871.  Get there early and look around the architecture, especially the astronomical ceiling, devised by brothers Warren and Paul César Helleu.  

Once aboard, the Bus will take you on a brief stop to Madame Tussauds.  Here you can have your photo taken with President Obama and visit a replica of the Oval Office.  You won’t be allowed to visit any of the other areas of Madame Tussauds, but nor would you want to as you’ll be missing out on a fantastic journey.

Singapore River Festival

The inaugural River Festival was held in Singapore in 2007 and has since become one of the largest parties in the city.  The festival runs for two weekends and contains many events to keep everyone entertained.

Originally held in September, the festival has now moved to the end of June and early July, to avoid clashing with the Singapore Grand Prix Formula 1 race.  Situated along the Singapore River, there are free nightly events and activities in all of the major Quays.

The Childhood Memories and Bumboat Parade is something to behold.  Five traditional Singapore bumoats are transformed into giant paper boats.  They cruise up and down the river passing Clarke Quay, Coat Quay and Marina Bay in their procession.

Las Vegas Night Strip Helicopter Tour

To tour Las Vegas by night in a helicopter, any time of year, is one of the top things to do on your visit to the city.  Tour companies offer spectacular views from six-seater state of the art helicopters.  These jet helicopters are renowned for their excellent manoeuvrability and many passengers have praised them for the smoothness of their flight.  This is an excellent way to see the dazzling Las Vegas Strip and is available between 6pm and 8pm, depending on the time of year.

The flights themselves last around twelve minutes, which may sound comparatively short, but it’s sufficient for you to see all the sights.  You will need to allow around an hour and half for the whole tour, due to loading and unloading plus your special champagne toast before you board.

Departing from the heliport close to the strip, you’ll start by flying past the large pyramid at the Luxor hotel, with its bright light shining up into the night sky.  You’ll see the magical dancing water fountains of the Bellagio and the legendary Caesar’s Palace, which has hosted many sporting events including World Championship Boxing Matches and Formula One Grand Prix.

Around the Canyons of Hurricane City

Hurricane City in Washington County, Utah is a small city in the western side of the United States. It has a considerably small population of around 10000 persons but the city does maintain a steady growth pattern over the years. The name for the city came about after Erastus Snow, a church official experienced a whirlwind which blew the top off of a buggy that he was in and said: "Well, that was a Hurricane. We’ll name this Hurricane Hill.”

The city had a historic Hurricane Canal to direct the water from Virgin River which had once caused flood around the surrounding areas. A lot of effort was put into the project which spanned over 10 years and with the assistance from the neighbouring Virgin and Grafton areas. Amazingly, the long canal was built using only picks and shovels!

The canal has since been preserved and maintained by the locals since 2000. Visitors can visit the historic site and take a stroll along its steep slopes and many have commented that the steep slope has the effect of making the canal to seem floating in the air. The lime kiln and sandstone kiln to make the cement for the canal can be seen at the side of the narrow canal.

Singapore, a seemingly unseen island on the globe stores many wonders to be discovered. One of them would be the Singapore Crocodilarium, located at the south of the island along the East Coast Parkway. Whether you are travelling with family or friends, a visit to this tourist spot is guaranteed to be an eye opener.

The Singapore Crocodilarium may sound like any typical crocodilian farm that you can find around Asia but it is not. In fact, it houses more than 1000 types of reptiles besides crocodiles and is the largest enclosed crocodilian farm in South East Asia. Normal visits usually last about 2 hours and the ticket price is a total steal; only S$2 for adults and S$1 for children.

Walking by the forum area, visitors get to be up close and personal with the crocodilians as they are displayed at a really close range. The workers at the Crocodilarium are familiar with these reptiles and visitors can ask them any questions about these reptiles. Children especially love these scary, wrinkly creatures and there is also a session when visitors are allowed to feed the young.

National Museum of Singapore

This amazing history museum was first established in 1849 but has been relocated and had its name changed several times.  After returning to its original location in 1887 where it remains to this day it has under gone many transformations, most recently in 2006 when it reopened after a 3 ½ restoration which included the opening of the Singapore History Gallery.

The National Museum of Singapore is the oldest in the country and an architectural icon to its people; it is host to the 11 national treasures and presents the history and culture of the country in a conventional way.  Through exhibits and colourful festivals the Museum has become a vibrant place to discover precious artefacts and mesmerising works of art.  The permanent features show off the countries culture through; history, film, photography and food all of which are allocated their own sizable gallery.

The treasures of the National Museum date back as far as the 14 century and include; the funeral hearse of Tan Jiak Kim, mace of the Singapore City, the will of Munshi Abdullah, portrait of Sir Shenton Thomas and Frank Swettenham, which can all be viewed in the History Gallery.

City Review: Paradise, Clark County

When you sit around and think about where you want to live, a hot, barren desert is probably going to be near the bottom of the list with the moon and at the bottom of the ocean. However, if Las Vegas were to enter into the equation, the idea of a desert suddenly doesn’t seem so dry. This is undoubtedly what when through many people’s minds as they re-located to Paradise.

Paradise, Nevada is an unincorporated town in Clark County, Nevada, directly outside of Las Vegas. Technically, Paradise is part of Las Vegas, located directly south of Sin City and acting as an urbanized area. The Clark County Commission governs Paradise and the population is near 200,000, making it one of the more populated areas in the county.

Since Paradise is really just south of Las Vegas, there are not a lot of original destinations in the town that are separate from Vegas. Even still, a lot of tourists don’t know much about the entire Vegas area if it doesn’t involve a new-age casino resort or an all-you-can-eat buffet. Unfortunately, some of the country’s best scenery is overshadowed by the gambling.

City Review of Sunrise Manor

One of the biggest downsides to being located so close to Las Vegas, Nevada is that regardless of what is offered as a standalone territory it’s all overshadowed by the world’s biggest gambling Mecca. This has a positive effect on tourism in most cases, as most people travel to the area and find places like Sunrise Manor on their own, but it also results in a serious lack of identity.

Sunrise Manor is a census-designated place on the outskirts of Las Vegas, located within Clark County, Nevada. This means that it’s not technically its own city; it’s just a designed part of Las Vegas. However, if Sunrise Manor were to ever be incorporated, it would become one of the largest cities in the entire state.

Sunrise Manor is currently best known for two things: its immediate proximity to the city of Las Vegas, and its place at the seat of Frenchman Mountain. With a population of almost 200,000, Sunrise Manor is definitely a popular location to live, with plenty of hotels, restaurants, parks and upscale neighborhoods.

City Review: Spring Valley, Clark County

As far as vacationing in the United States, you’d be hard pressed to find any area with more to do than in and around Clark County, Nevada. Not only is this the home of the famous gambling hub Las Vegas, but it’s also one of the world’s most popular vacation destinations for hikers, ATV enthusiasts, sightseers, history buffs, and much, much more.

The city of Spring Valley is located in the center of all the action. Only two miles west of the main Vegas Strip, Spring Valley receives much of the Las Vegas overflow and also its own tourists due to the hotels and restaurants located there for people who don’t want to spend the money for resort stays or who want to see other sites in Nevada.

Spring Valley also contains quite a few middle class to upper class residential neighborhoods and boasts an economy independent of Las Vegas, as evidenced by the nearly 120,000 permanent residents of this small city.

City Review - Saint George's, Grenada

The Grenadines in the southeastern portion of the Caribbean Sea are perhaps the most beautiful islands in the Northern Atlantic. Grenada is the focal point of the island chain, and is made up of six relatively small islands (much like Hawaii). Grenada is steeped with history and tradition, and the spectacular Caribbean location is a huge draw for tourists.

Saint George’s is the country’s capital city and undoubtedly the most popular of the entire area. Grenada only has a population of around 110,000, and Saint George’s only houses around 8,000 full-time, but millions pass through the streets every year and enjoy the area’s tropical climate, local cuisine and the rich history.

The city’s unique geography originally lent it fame. Grenada, like all these islands, is a volcano that rose from the ocean’s floor and eventually, over many thousands of years, became inhabitable. The volcano on this particular island has collapsed, however, and Saint George’s on Grenada is basically built in and around the crater that was left.

City Review of Winchester, Nevada

Winchester, Nevada is one of the many standalone towns and cities around Las Vegas that have the misfortune of being categorized as simply “Vegas.” That’s not to say that Las Vegas is a bad place, but since postal addresses only recognize Vegas in Clark County, Nevada, some tourists may never find out about locations like Winchester.

The city of Winchester is small in comparison to the rest of the cities in Las Vegas’ metropolitan area. Winchester is located directly south of Vegas and contains much of Sin City’s Strip. As a result, there are hordes of restaurants, motels and other attractions in Winchester that should interest anyone planning on vacationing in the area.

One of the biggest positives of visiting Winchester if you’re also visiting Las Vegas is that you can stay in Winchester and beat some of the traffic on both the roads and in the hotels. Since a lot of vacationers are preoccupied with wanting to stay in luxury resorts, this leaves Winchester’s hotels and motels open and available most of the year.

Savile Row is a street in Mayfair, London that is basically synonymous with bespoke tailoring. The street, as well as surrounding areas, is riddled with tailor’s shops. Like Little Italy in New York City, Savile Row has become a safe haven for many people with the same interest: tailoring.

Tailors have been filling this area up since the early 19th century, and these artisans have worked extremely hard to build their well-established businesses. These businesses hold both quality and style as their highest standards. And after years of business, Savile Row is known as the place to receive a quality tailored garment.

Savile Row is located on the lands that were once known as the gardens of Burlington House. After London officials decided that it was a time for a change, way back in 1733, construction began on several row houses. The Fremont Street Experience

The Fremont Street Experience is a pedestrian mall and attraction in download Las Vegas. The FSE occupies the westernmost 5 blocks of Fremont Street, including the area known for years as “Glitter Gulch,” and also portions of other adjacent streets.

The attraction is a barrel vault canopy, which stands 90 feet high at its peak, and covers approximately four blocks. Las Vegas is known for never turning the outside casino lights off, so each show begins by turning off the lights on all buildings under the canopy, giving views of the FSE show the full effect of the lights.

Fremont Street has a storied history. It held many Las Vegas firsts, including the first hotel, first telephone, first Nevada gaming license, the first elevator, first traffic light, and the first high-rise. For many years, the western end of Fremont Street was the area most commonly portrayed whenever producers wanted to display the lights of Vegas.
