If you're ready for the experience of a lifetime, then pack your bags and get ready to set out to one of the world's most famous cities. Atlantic City has been known for decades as one of the most exciting places in the USA. It's most famously known for being the “other” city.
But as any ocean lover will tell you, Las Vegas can be a little too hot and a little too far away from the water. Atlantic City sits just yards off of the Boardwalk, and has some of the best casinos around. AC is the total package.
You get all the great entertainment that Vegas can offer, and you're guaranteed to save money on room accommodations, food, and much more. Atlantic City is the best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, casinos and bars.
With all of the new projects being built at a break-neck pace, Atlantic City has made its mark and become a global destination. With some of their more famous casinos like the Showboat, Trump Taj Mahal, Harrah's, and Bally's, recent additions like The Walk, The Pier at Caesar's, and The Quarter are making Atlantic City more popular than ever!
You can relax on the beach and shop by day, then hit the blackjack tables at night. AC has a little something for everybody. With Atlantic City, it's more than just the casinos that draw in the crowd. They also boast some fabulous designer stores, beach bars, IMAX, world class dining, and there are plenty of top-notch golf courses nearby.
They even have something for all the kids out there. Storybook Land is a great option for the children and is only 10 short miles away from the city. In this children's theme park, you can find rides, a playground, a picnic area, and a zoo!
There are more than 50 available buildings and displays for your children to enjoy. On any given night in Atlantic City, you can catch a great, live sporting event, a magic show, a concert, or countless other forms of entertainment. And the best part: You don't have to travel to the middle of the desert to enjoy it.
Atlantic City is easily accessible through any mode of transportation. Atlantic City International Airport is state-of-the-art and offers a car rental service, as well as a taxi service and passenger vans.
There's no long, grueling ride through hot sands. The city's main attractions are only 9 miles away from the airport. For many people, it's more convenient to fly into Philadelphia and take the 1 hour drive into AC, or simply take the train. You can take the train for $8 one-way, and the ride only takes a little more than an hour. Charter buses from all around the country offer trips to and from AC, so there's a way to get there for everyone.
We all know what you can “do” in Atlantic City, but there are also tons of things to see!
For instance, the Atlantic City Aquarium - Ocean Life Center boasts eight giant aquariums, shipwreck artifacts, etc. You can also check out sights like the Absecon Lighthouse, Atlantic City Historical Museum, Monopoly Monument, and Lucy the Elephant, which is a 65-ton building built to look just like an elephant.
