The new trend for day clubs means with the onset of summer nightclub owners and operators who have seen the fashion for young party goers to want to have a good time drinking and dancing in the midday sun are going to be cashing in on a very profitable business.

Las Vegas has got two new pool parties which opened in the spring and with most of the other hotels jumping on the day club band wagon by hosting adult only parties at the weekends which just confirms that everyone in the know feels that this is more than just a passing trend and people coming to the strip want to be able to party just like they did on yachts in St. Tropez.

The trend is more one common in Miami where it has been long accepted that parties start early and finish late morning too, with lots of drinking throughout the whole day and night but since 2004 and the Rehab pool party at the Hard Rock, the trend has taken grip in Vegas too.

The idea for the new pool side venues develop the idea a stage further and each focuses on different markets. One is going for the older party lovers and the second on house music with big name DJ's. The fact is there is a lot of money to be made and this is the time to cash in on a trend that will make a lot of money for operators.

Getting the right combination of party goers, music and atmosphere seems to be easy, all you need is space – quite a lot of space, a pool – a very large pool, a sound system – a state of the art system, a fully stocked bar – with just about every drink on the planet and basically some wild chicks clad in bikinis and you have achieved the perfect combination to organize a day club.

The vast amounts of alcohol that are drunk have nothing to do with the success of the party, according to many of the organizers and operators of these clubs it is rather the size of the area where the party is to be held and they are all vying to create the largest one in Vegas. If this is the case the winner will be whoever manages to build the biggest pool side party on the Strip.

The reality is though that as with all things to do with having a good time the old adage ‘the more the merrier’ comes to mind. With vast sums of money being invested to create a dayclub that will be better than the competition down the road means that the returns on the money invested is going to be big – really big.

The day clubs are everywhere from Tao Beach to Nikki Beach Club, some are aiming for the higher bracket customer and others for the customer who does not mind standing in a line waiting to get into the club. It would seem that there will be a day club to suit every age and pocket so that the Strip really will never go to sleep ever again during the high season.
